Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 9 August 2026
Keydole Ltd is committed to making its website and streaming service accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. This statement applies to www.keydole.co.uk and the Keydole web player.
1. Our accessibility target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is the standard required by the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018, and the level we hold ourselves to as a commercial service.
2. Compliance status
Keydole is substantially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. An accessibility audit was completed in August 2026. The findings and remediations from that audit are reflected in this statement. The remaining known limitations listed in §3 relate primarily to areas under active development (the video player) or dependent on final content (device screenshots).
The following have been verified as conformant during the August 2026 audit:
- All form inputs have associated visible or screen-reader-accessible labels (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.6).
- All interactive elements have visible focus indicators meeting SC 2.4.11 (Focus Not Obscured) and SC 2.4.7 (Focus Visible).
- A skip-to-main-content link is present on every page and functional across all routes (SC 2.4.1).
- Heading hierarchy is logical with a single h1 per page and no skipped levels (SC 1.3.1).
- The cookie consent banner and preferences modal are fully keyboard navigable, trap focus correctly while open, and use
role="dialog",aria-modal, andaria-label(SC 4.1.2). - Accordion components use
aria-expandedandaria-controls; content carousel usesrole="list"and per-itemaria-label(SC 4.1.2). - Error and status states communicate meaning through text and icons, not colour alone (SC 1.4.1).
- All icon-only buttons carry
aria-labeltext (SC 4.1.2). - Decorative images use
alt=""; meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text (SC 1.1.1).
3. Known limitations
The following limitations remain and are being tracked for resolution in upcoming releases.
- Video player controls — The live-stream and on-demand player is under active accessibility review. Player controls will expose standard accessible roles and support keyboard operation in an upcoming release.
- Support ticket history — The support ticket list on /account/support does not yet include full column headers and ARIA roles for assistive technologies. This will be addressed in an upcoming release.
- Device setup screenshots — Step-by-step setup guide images on device pages carry
alt=""where the image is supplementary to adjacent instructional text. Descriptive alternative text for standalone images is being progressively rolled out.
4. Technical compatibility
Keydole is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies and browser combinations:
- NVDA with Chrome on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android
- Keyboard-only navigation on all major browsers
We do not support Internet Explorer. We support the current and previous major versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
